Naming for Everyone is a platform featuring live remote group classes and educational resources designed to help people name more confidently.

Nothing in life is really for everyone, but our goal is to make naming education more accessible to anyone whose job involves naming, whether they're starting their career or they're the CMO.

Most classes are capped at 12 participants. Some classes are capped at 6. Free classes are sometimes capped higher.

All classes are developed and taught by Caitlin Barrett, founder of Wild Geese Studio, a naming studio that specializes in complex naming problems; and the U.S. partner of We Are Naming, a global network of naming experts.

Absolutely! You can post the classes you’ve taken under “Projects,” and if you’d like to include the Naming for Everyone logo, you can download it here.

Each class comes with some optional pre-reading materials and a question or two to ponder ahead of class. Ideally, you'll spend about an hour ahead of each class getting prepared to dicuss and build on that pre-work, but it is not required. Some classes come with additional post-class workbooks or other materials that you may spend additional time on at your own pace.

Please email us at namingforeveryone@gmail.com with any needs or requests that would put a class offering or resource more within reach! We are a small team and we are in the early stages of defining our learning experience, and would love to know how to best meet your needs.

Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before a scheduled class in order to receive a refund. This gives us the opportunity to fill the class. You may cancel by emailing namingforeveryone@gmail.com. If you do not cancel prior to 48 hours before your scheduled class starts, you will lose the opportunity to be refunded, but you will receive a recording of the class and all class materials.

You should at least ask! Check with your HR or benefits team to see if professional development costs are covered—many organizations will!

That might be something that we create in the future, but for now, all classes are live in order to guide creative exercises and make sure everyone feels clear about how to put things into practice.
